West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has strongly dismissed the Boothferat survey results, calling them "fake" in a recent interview with TV Nine. After the seventh phase of polling on Saturday, multiple booth polls suggested that the BJP would emerge as the largest party in Bengal in the Lok Sabha elections. However, Mamata Banerjee was resolute in her rejection, urging Trinamool workers to stay strong and maintain confidence. She stated, "I don't believe, don't believe, don't believe what is being shown about our state. It's totally fake, totally fake." Mamata emphasized her belief in the support from the people based on their fieldwork and interactions, expressing that she never thought people would not vote for Trinamool.
During her Lok Sabha election campaign, Mamata Banerjee has consistently criticized the Congress and CPM, accusing them of collaborating with the BJP in West Bengal. She clarified that Trinamool's relationship with the state Congress does not impact their alliance with the National Congress. Mamata questioned the CPM's role as a spokesperson for Congress and expressed her discontent, stating, "Why will the CPM be their spokesperson? I have a question here." She remains optimistic about forming alliances with other regional parties, like DMK, AAP, and SP, to challenge the BJP's dominance. Mamata concluded by dismissing the Boothferat survey's significance, asserting, "Boothferat survey has no value."
